Salah satu yang terbaik dalam senarai All-Time movie aku... First time tengok time sekolah menengah, masa tu, sekali lagi tengok kat slot BlockBuster TV2 (eja salah kot, ntah ler)... Mula-mula, (sama macam A Perfect World), aku rasa macam tak layak je ada dalam slot TV2 ni yang memang tayang cite-cite hebat sokmo... Dah la Tim Robbin tu tak berapa terkenal, rupa pun tak smart sangat, badan tinggi & besar... Yang aku suka sebab ada Freeman tu jer. Tapi, rupa-rupanya, hebat jugak pelakon-pelakon filem nih... Betul-betul buat aku impress...

& satu lagi, banyak jugak mesej-mesej yang disampaikan dalam filem ni, tentang penjara, tentang kehidupan lepas penjara dan lain-lain...

Start cite ni, rasa macam boring jerrr... Tapi masuk je sparuh masa filem n, wowww... excellent!!! Aku jadi excited, betul-betul tak sangka tim robbin (wataknya : Andy Dufrene) buat pelan nak larikan diri... Plot filem ni tersusun & memang 'save the best for the last'...

Kisah tentang Andy yang ada karier bagus sebagai pegawai bank, 'bunuh' bini dia yang curang & didapati bersalah... So kena hantar kat penjara Shawshank (dari ni la judulnya, nama penjara) ni... Dalam penjara bkawan plak dengan Freeman (Red) & geng-nya...

So dalam penjara ni, pihak warden memang kejam & jahat... Andy ni diambil jadi penyimpan akaun duit-duit haram bos warden... Kat sini la dia mula perancangannyer untuk lari dari penjara... Siap wujudkan identiti baru untuk dia bila lari dari penjara & semua duit2 dalam akaun haram tu di pindahkan pada akaun identiti baru Andy...

RED : I'm sure you're good, but all that
paper leaves a trail. Anybody gets
too curious -- FBI, IRS, whatever --
that trail's gonna lead to somebody.

ANDY : Sure it will. But not to me, and
certainly not to the warden.

RED : Who then?

ANDY : Peter Stevens.

RED : Who?

ANDY : The silent, silent partner. He's
the guilty one, your Honor. The man
with the bank accounts. That's
where the filtering process starts.
They trace it back, all they're
gonna find is him.

RED : Yeah, okay, but who the hell is he?

ANDY : A phantom. An apparition. Second
cousin to Harvey the Rabbit.
(off Red's look)
I conjured him out of thin air. He
doesn't exist...except on paper.

RED : You can't just make a person up.

ANDY : Sure you can, if you know how the
system works, and where the cracks
are. It's amazing what you can
accomplish by mail. Mr. Stevens has
a birth certificate, social
security card, driver's license.
They ever track those accounts,
they'll wind up chasing a figment
of my imagination.

RED : Did I say you were good?
You're Rembrandt.

ANDY : It's funny. On the outside, I was
an honest man. Straight as an
arrow. I had to come to prison to
be a crook.

Time dia lari tu la paling best... dah la tak sangka... time ni la semua plan-plan yang dia buat ditunjukkan... Selama dia di penjara, hari-hari dia korek simen dinding penjara, sampai bertahun-tahun... Lari ikut saluran najis sepanjang 2 padang bola & bebas...

Tim Robbin memang pelakon berkaliber... Freeman tak yah cakap la... Diaorang ni sebaris dengan A-list aku macam Al-Pacino, Travolta, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Dicaprio, Russel Crowe, Edward norton dan lain-lain...

Memang best la, sampai tak reti nak ulas... Hehehehe... Korang tengok la sendiri... Kat kedai-kedai CD, banyak jugak cite nih... Di jamin korang memang puassss...
